Join us and writer and activist Lisette Auton at a networking breakfast event for disabled artists and writers working in the North East.

This session is for creatives who identify as disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent or living with a mental health condition, who are working in any art form at any stage in their career. We invite you to connect and collaborate over coffees and pastries.

The doors will open at 10am and the event will begin with a welcome from Durham Book Festival at 10.15am, followed by the opportunity to talk to fellow artists with the support of BSL interpreters and festival staff.

Participants will be offered a free ticket for the screening of Lisette’s new film Writing the Missing – Folding Water, which will start at 11.30am.

If you are able, we encourage mask wearing at this event. Masks will be available on the door.

To attend remotely, please contact us directly.
