Join us for a screening of Shelagh Delaney’s seminal kitchen sink drama, A Taste of Honey.

Focusing on the life of Salford teenager Jo, who is played by Rita Tushingham in a BAFTA-winning performance, the film created waves on its 1961 release for exposing the harsh realities of northern working-class life and its daring subject matter.

Introduced by Professor Selina Todd, author of Tastes of Honey: The Making of Shelagh Delaney and a Cultural Revolution.
