Second World War novelist David Lowther discusses what it is about twentieth century espionage tales that make it such a rich seam for authors. David will talk about the different spy stories that have influenced his writing, including John Buchan’s novels, Eric Ambler in the 1930s and, more recently, John le Carré.
David’s new novel, The Summer of Thirty-Nine, will be launched at the event.
