In partnership with literature organisations in Sweden, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, New Writing North is delighted to be part of a European literature exchange project that will see writers undertake residencies in each country and create new work inspired by harbours and rivers. At this event the four writers taking part in a North East residency will share their work in progress and discuss their collaborations.
The event will feature Mattias Hagberg a Swedish writer and journalist, Oddifiour Rasmussen, a poet and translator from the Faroe Islands and Haukur Ingvarsson, a writer of fiction and non-fiction from Iceland. The three writers will spend a week in the North East, working with writer Michael Chaplin and we’re looking forward to hearing about their experiences.
